Depression:

Everyone experiences stress one time or other. That is just a fact of life. It could be financial problems, it could be behaviour problems, it could be physical illness, it could be family problems and it could be dealing with problems at work. No matter what the problems are, dealing with any uncertainty in life causes us mental stress. Some of these problems may be manageable. However, others may not and may last for weeks or months or even years. It is quite obvious how these ongoing problems can affect the way we eat and sleep. Its no wonder how these mental ongoing stresses can affect us at a physical level. We may then be so bogged down on dealing with these problems that we may not have the time or energy left to deal with other things in daily life. The sufferer may feel down, tired and lack motivation most of the time. If these problems persist for a few weeks or more a person suffering in that way is then labeled as suffering from depression.

There are also times when we feel depressed but don't know what is causing us to feel that way. That “not knowing” is enough to make us feel even more down the gutter. If a person is suffering from any anxiety disorders such as OCD, phobia or panic attacks, it wouldn't be a surprise why that person may also suffer from depression.

I have lived with anxiety disorders most of my life. Because of these anxieties I found it difficult to carry out every day activities and at times I used to feel as though there is no way out and also felt down and gloomy. Only when I managed to release myself from the anxiety disorders, I started rebuilding, well actually building my life and started enjoying the little things that are so precious. Depression is covered in my e-book "The Root Cause".
